For nearly 20 years, John led collegiate and professional sports sponsorship strategy and budget for a Fortune 50 company, overseeing major partnerships, driving brand visibility, and shaping high‑impact marketing initiatives across the national sports landscape.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Millikin University in Decatur, IL, and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, FL. After completing his graduate studies, John built a successful career in Division I collegiate athletics, serving at both East Carolina University and Illinois State University. In these roles, he led marketing and advertising initiatives and played a key role in driving season and single‑game ticket sales across more than 20 varsity sports.
For nearly 15 years, John also directed the advertising and sponsorship strategy for the largest co‑ed high school basketball tournament in the nation, helping elevate its visibility, community engagement, and commercial success.
